🌍 Field Mission in French Guiana ![]()
From June 3 to 5, 2025, the Université d'Artois participated in the Journées de l’Adaptation au Changement Climatique (JACC) in Cayenne, as part of the development of the Regional Climate Change Adaptation Plan (PRACC).![]()
🔬 The MOSAIC project was presented during the workshop on the health of vulnerable populations, highlighting issues related to health and social vulnerabilities in a cross-border context.![]()
✅ Key issues were identified with local stakeholders during all workshops:
• Limited data on the links between health, environment and climate
• Multiple vulnerabilities (precariousness, isolation, access to water, vector-borne diseases)
• Need for a common language between stakeholders and local communities
• Need for sensitive and inclusive approaches
• Need to strengthen cross-border cooperation![]()
These issues strongly resonate with the MOSAIC project’s approach!![]()
🤝 The mission continued in Saint-Georges-de-l’Oyapock to reinforce connections with local associations and grassroots actors.![]()
